The Art of Transformation
The Scorpian Archetype reframed: an invitation to self-discovery, clarity & confidence
Hello world,
let me start this one off with a quote by Rick Rubin who writes
“Art is our portal to the unseen world.”
Through the art of writing, I’m taking you to the depths of my mind, where the glistening starlight of my insight shines a light on this letter. a piece about The Art of Transformation. an invitation to discover the gold of self-knowledge*.
And perhaps, if you (are willing to) make it to the end of it, you will too step through the portal of the unknown, where I meet you, to dive into the depths of your own endless well of creativity.
The Scorpian Archetype reframed
Scorpio I say, you shriek. An archetype often related to darkness, the unknown, where the sight is obscured, where the light is dimmed into oblivion. the unknown, feared by many, explored by some, hiding beneath the comfort of the oceans surface layer, where the lines become blurry. the deeper the blurrier, deep down within the void of the oceans depths, is where the unknown rests. in stillness. full of potential.
This is where the energetic high tides & light sides of the scorpian archetype come in. Scorpio spells transformation.
a soft sparkle hushes by and you find it hard to grasp. an infinity of particles, slipping through your fingers, waiting to be discovered, received in your open palm, claimed in soft touch and carried to dry land, the conscious realm.
Transformation is synonymous to alchemy.
Scorpio is dark and rightfully so. Yet, darkness doesn’t have to mean scary. I’ve come to see the darkness of the void as a place of rest, receive, and rebirth. A place of remembering, a place we come from, like the wombs of our mothers, the waters of the universe, as the cosmic pond of creation. Like the rejuvenating rest of the sleeping beauty, letting us reawaken fresh-faced and marble-eyed, ready to face the world with eyes wide open.

A change in perspective
I’ve noticed, once we remember how to float and sink, learn how to dive and swim, catch our breath, hold it in, ride it out, we win the opportunity to spend time under water. And as did I, I’m sure you’ll notice: The void isn’t empty at all. It’s actually filled to the brim with opportunity, the matter from which a life is built. the same material you’re made from and essentially so, the void is filled with the Self itself. All your light & dark.
Wa-wa-wa-wait. How do I transmute something I perceive as harmful into something that is helpful?
Where do I find my resources?
How do I utilize my potential and embody my power?
Am I even powerful? What about the others?
Anyway, my significant other …
How do I define what is mine? Do I even know what I’m doing?, your mind rambles.
And what it’s really saying is: How do I change in perspective?
Good questions, and I’m happy to show you, answer you, individually. As the answer is as individual as you are and lays within you. After all, the darkness is not something to eliminate, but to illuminate. When it is dipped into the daylight of your conscious, it becomes shapeable.
Here’s your cue:
